Osaka-jo

Osaka-jo, the castle in Japan's second-largest city. This is a shot from the stairs, looking up... I was lucky to get the mon of the castle from one of the banners right in the corner there where it is.

It took about twenty minutes to walk from the first gate of the castle to this point, passing countless steel-plated doors, moats, trap corners, and fallback positions that, in ancient times, made Osaka-jo impenetrable. It was incredible.
